Breeding

.

The application of modern breeding methods forms the centre of the GCP project goals. A wide variety of new techniques are nowadays commonly used in modern breeding. These include molecular techniques (mappping, sequencing) which are backup by statistical methods.

In modern breeding practices the following computer analysis methods, combined with crop information databases, are well functional.
