SP3 Leader Jonathan Crouch to Move to Kenya
SP3 Leader Jonathan Crouch, Principal Scientist in Biotechnology at ICRISAT in Patancheru, India, will be posted to the NEPAD Biosciences Facility hosted by ILRI in Nairobi, Kenya, as of 1 January 2005. Dr. Crouch?s move to the NEPAD facility is part of ICRISAT and the GCP?s continuing commitment to strengthening research capacity in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Generation Challenge Program and the NEPAD Biosciences Initiative have several shared goals and many complementarities. Dr. Crouch will oversee the development of a joint Biosciences-GCP program on research and capacity building for east, central, and sub-Saharan Africa. Such an alliance will maximize scientific synergies in this important region and create rich opportunities to further both programs' research agendas through targeted joint fundraising efforts.
