iMAS  - Integrated Marker-Assisted Selection System

The Integrated Marker-Assisted Selection System (iMAS) software is an integrated molecular breeding analysis platform. It represents a platform to facilitate the identification of trait-linked markers for use in marker-aided selection and breeding. The development of the iMAS at ICRISAT was supported by the GCP.

The iMAS provides simple-to-follow guidelines to assist users with the selection of the most appropriate experimental design and data analysis methods. In addtion, guidelines for correct application and interpretation of the computational tools are provided. The iMAS offers the users a regularly updated selection of the currently most appropriate options.

The iMAS performs the required reformatting of datasets for all included software. iMAS implements a mapping-population-based approach to identify trait-linked markers. Six modules are available: Data Validation, Phenotyping, Linkage Map Building, QTL Analysis, Genome/QTL Display and Marker Assisted Breeding.
