Pantheon

.

GCP Pantheon is a shared software framework, set up for the development of the interoperatibility of information systems and data exchange of GCP (crop) scientists.
The GCP Pantheon is a set of domain models, software tools, end-user's applications and implementations of various data sources. They are all designed to be extensible and flexible.

gcp platform components

Pantheon wants to create the facilities to add data sources (both GCP and non-GCP) to non-GCP end-user’s applications and open thus the possibilities to explore and analyse these data. Pantheon is intended for developers and sets the standards for the (way of) data-usage in the end-users applications.
The central part of the GCP Pantheon is formed by the domain modeling, by setting the ultimate rules for all GCP applications and models to be developed. These rules are defined by the GCP Domain Model (Bruskiewich et al. 2006). This model expresses attributes, behaviour and relationships between the model entities in a both programming language- and environment- independent way.
The elaborate and well-structured GCP Pantheon website is divided into a tree like fashion. The first three major branches are assigned to GCP semantics, GCP uses cases and GCP software.
