Updated January 2010
Prior to the formation of the Executive Board (EB) in June 2008, the Programme Steering Committee (PSC) was the peak governing body of GCP, providing programme guidance to GCP research activities. This changed in June 2008, when the Executive Board took over as the apex governing body (see PSC resolution on new Executive Board—December 2007).
PSC members were drawn from member institutions of the GCP Consortium as listed below. In 2008, the PSC set up a Task Force to redefine its role in line with the governance reforms approved in December 2007. The coming into force of the Amended Consortium Agreement in September 2009 dissolves the Programme Steering Committee (PSC) and now formally establishes the GCP Executive Board as the peak governance body.
