GCP Travel Grants

By providing training to developing country scientists to advance research, the Travel Grants Programme is designed to foster and strengthen links within and across GCP projects.

Hands-on training
The main purpose of the Travel Grants is to facilitate the training of developing country scientists by means of hands-on experiences. This way the benefits of the knowledge gained will have deeper impact, not only for the trainees but for their home institutions and countries, strengthening their capacity to contribute to the advancement of the GCP research.

Support for participation in the GCP Annual Research Meeting and other GCP events
The Travel Grants Programme usually facilitates the participation of individual scientists in the Annual Research Meeting (ARM), as well as other events organised directly by GCP. There is no call for applications for this category, but instead scientists are selected from the pool of GCP collaborators and/or other scientists for whom the meeting is a valuable opportunity to interact with colleagues that share the same research interests.
