Standarisation

.

One of the important issues in achieving and maintaining high standards in quality of the GCP research data is standarisation. In order to achieve high data quality standards, standarisation criteria were developed for both ontology and data templates. Standarisation is reflected in the use of a standarized controlled vocabulary - the crop ontology - and in standarized terms for the results and the data format for wide variety of experiments. In the latter cases data ranging from genotyping, phenotyping and QTL research experiments are gathered in GCP validated templates. Research data expressed in the GCP approved and validated templates are ready for submission to the GCP central registry.
