Each template download contains the following:

• A template directory containing an excel template (.xls) and a set of one or more plain text files (.txt)
• An example directory containing an example excel template (.xls) and a set of one or more example plain tab-delimited text files (.txt), both containing (fictitious) example data, to help you fill the blank templates.
• A read me file in rich text format (.rtf) or html (.html).

Please use either the Excel template or tab-delimited text file template(s). We recommend that you use the text files in preference to the Excel file templates because Excel files have a maximum limit on the number of rows and columns, which may cause problems with large datasets. Information on specific template can be found in the templates documentation pages.
